Take this simple test and I will point you towards the right corperation. I've been all over eve from branch to paragon soul and I've seen it all. It is true that I may be a bit biased. This is because I can only direct you to a corp that I have intimate knowledge of. My knowledge of corps may be vast but it is not absolute.
1 - What do you want to do? PVP? Pirate? Mine? Trade?
2 - Where do you want to live? High sec? Low sec? 0.0?
3 - Where do you live? Australia? Briton? America? Germany? Russia?
4 - How big a corp do you want? Small? Medium? Large? Massively Huge?
5 - How many sp do you have?
6 - What do you pride yourself on flying? Command ship? Capital ship? Exhumer? Hac?
7 - How long have you been playing?
8 - What is your security rating?
9 - Are there any corps where you have burned your bridges?

Edited by: Dashhammer II on 01/09/2007 05:22:49 Actually I was quite serious and trying to be unbiased. The problem is that when people choose corperations they would rather throw up a "I have 12million sp" post and wait for people to spam thier evemail.
There are a ton of great corperations out there but the problem is that the great corperations NEVER advertise. This is becuase they are no longer desperate for members. So people coming in here and reading advertisements and inviting others to advertise to them is quite pointless as they will not find a good corperation untill they've actually gone out into eve and met a few. If however they were to ask people with experience, perhaps they could get some good advice on the subject.
As for O Rly corp, I'll take nearly everyone that comes my way. It is actually quite rare that I turn away new members. But I don't lie to them. I like to tell them up front what we're about and what they can expect. This is becuase it is easier to turn our corperation into something that people will want to join than it is to convince people that it is something else.
Anyway, i'm going to go back to reading everyone's advertisements and spamming my own. I'll see ya guys later.

---Hello my Corp and I are looking to join an Alliance. Things about us: - Were not new players we been in and out of the game since 2003. We are miners/farmers but not pirates. - Were willing to defend and protect the alliance systems. - We would like to inform you were currently a 4 man corp. Will get more but we are taking our time and enjoying our selves. - We would like to have a future home to have our own PoS someday for the corp and also one for the alliance.
I believe in freedom and fun. I hope thereÆs an alliance out there that is willing to take a small corp on their door steps and help us progress in this universe.
Our Current Progress: - We own/skills for the following ships: BC, BS, Indy, Barges No capital or any ships over 150mil yet. WeÆre working on that :)----
Wow...
Okay, first please understand that I know about 75% of the alliances in Eve and the problem is that none of them would take you. This is because you can not in any way benifit them.
First of all you eluded that you wanted to join a 0.0 alliance with the statement that you would defend alliance systems. Problem with that is...
-You have no viable pvp force -You do not have enough people for, nor are you capable of flying ships for, massive mining operations that would benifit the alliance. -Your players, although made in 2003, can not use capital ships or afford ships over 150mil isk. Example (I own an interceptor worth 500m)
This spells bad news for every alliance in the galaxy. They would see you as uncontributing members of the alliance no matter how motivated your 4 members were. The only thing I can recomend is that if you are serious about joining a QUALITY alliance then you should really get yourself about 50 more members. Even that would be on the small side.
Empire alliances aren't much better. There are some which are like trade alliances that only join alliance for the extra chat channel so they can advertise to each other in it. But if you want something serious then you are either going to have to disband and join some one or grab yourself a lot more members.
Wish I had better news for ya man.

It's not that bad man. What you have to understand however is that these alliances have been running for years and they have thier own way of doing things. If you want to slide in with them and make it a good fit then you need to be able to adapt to thier requirements because they sure won't adapt to yours.
Put yourself in thier place. Would you accept a 4 man corp that wants to live in your space, mine for themselves and voice thier opinions in alliance meetings... with no combat experience and no ability to repell 20man gangs which could roll through at any time?
You need to be able to offer them something. Forget the pos, they probably have 80. If you had a substantial mining force or a large pvp force or even a large mixed corp, I'm sure there are a TON of alliances that would take you.
You might not be able to get into BOB, but you can definately get into the vast majority of alliances out there.

Hey there!
Okay, in the Stain Region there is a hard core pirate alliance called 'Stain Empire'. You should contact these people at your earliest convienance. Particularly a corporation named 'Xenobytes'. You may have to do a search for the corp and contact thier CEO. Ask to speak to thier director/recruitor or diplomat. These guys are ELITE pirates and the juicy part is that the majority of them are Russian. They live in 0.0 and they are a medium sized corp. These guys have a TON of experience, even surpassing my own so you are going to want to listen to them when they get in.
It may be difficult getting in contact with them but keep trying. These guys are right up your alley.
As a secondary alternative I should mention that the Alliance called 'RED ALLIANCE' is a very large alliance that lives in 0.0, they are completely Russian and although they typically don't pirate very much they are currently involved in a very large war with BOB so there is plently of opportunity for PVP.
Best of luck to yas. :)

Sorry there amanda. You seem like the nice sort but I can't very well recomend your corperation to anyone as I have no experience with your corperation.

Hey there! Well my man, you've got two choices here and coincidently both choices live quite close to each other. The first one is...
- 'Hungarian Rangers' of the alliance 'The Sphere Confederation' Currently they live in the Esotaria Region which is a 0.0 region. They are a very large alliance but they are broken up into a lot of smaller corperations. I've dealt with them many times and they seem like great people. Mining and pvp appears to be thier specialties.
- 'Blue Star Brotherhood' of the alliance 'Interstellar Starbase Syndicate' Is a the second one that would be great for you. They also live in Esotaria and they are a great bunch of guys as well. Especially the corperation's leader Dale0404. They are focussed on mining and trading.
Either of these corperations would easilly meet your requirements and would provide you with a wealth of friends. Be safe man!

Two choices-
The first one is a corperation called 'Rad**** Explorations' of the Alliance 'Executive Outcomes'. A good contact for them is Saru. He's french but don't let that fool ya becuase 99% of the corp is British and they do nothing but pvp in your time zone. They are currently involved in the BOB war so with your current SP I figured you would be up for some serious system warfare. With Rad**** Explorations in your employment history it really opens the door to larger alliances in the future 'like bob' if that is the route you are going.
The second one is a corperation called 'Cold Fury' of the alliance 'Southern Cross Alliance'. These guys are evenly mixed with Aussies and UK and they are a part of the same war as Rad**** (allied in fact) they do less pvp than Rad**** but I invite you to contact 'Rooman' and hear them out regardless. Just don't mention my name. Rooman seriously doesn't like me.
Editor's note. Due to the proffanity filter the first name didn't show up very well. It is 'Raddi ck' explorations. With out the space in the middle. thnx

Well this is the part where I say "JOIN US!!!!!!" You are just the right guy for us. In fact the only way you could be better would be if you could start blurting out some YTMND catchlines!
Aside from us (WHICH I HIGHLY RECOMEND!) there is Ordo Templi Orientis, a small to medium corp with a real female as the ceo. Real Female. Not just a myth. They are part of a trade alliance but they do everything. They've got some ultra experienced players in there as well. Not quite as experienced as our corp... but good enough.

This being that case I am going to recomend a multi-national alliance that meets all of your other requirements. It will be up to you to find the corp in that alliance that fits you.

Alright my man I've got two for ya. First one is 'Sybrite' they are an ultra-pirate corp over in the Khanid region. Very small but quite experienced and trigger happy. If it's main stream pirating you want you could hardly do better then them. Due to thier leadership and government style they have been fairly successful over the past year or so in the Khanid region. Some might even say too successful.
Second is 'Black Lance' They are a mainstream pvp corp. Little less pirating, little more pvp. These guys are a bit more hard core than sybrite. They are like a pirate corp gone mad and they wandered off into 0.0 a long time ago to try and slaughter everything in sight. Last time I saw them was in the Stain region but they have long since moved on to more proffitable areas. Since thier style of pvp is a lot more intense, you'll have a bit of a learning curve with them. But they've got some swedes and I'm sure that if you keep your ears open you could learn a whole lot from them.

America

Medium
5 - How many sp do you have?
We both have 2.2mil

I fly Interceptors and my brother flies Assault Frigates.
7 - How long have you been playing?
2 months
8 - What is your security rating?
.3 ish (Don't care if it goes down)
9 - Are there any corps where you have burned your bridges?
None that I can think of.
Thanks in advance.
Here we go...
First corp is Gr0und Zer0, it is spelled with zeros in place of o's. They are a small pirate corp that live in placid but don't let their size fool you. They have a cap fleet and quite a few allied corps. They are pure a pirating corp however and it's a great stepping stone for other pirating corps in the area.
The next is...
Multiversal Enterprise. They are a high and low sec corp that are comprised of some really fantastic players. This one might be a little harder to get into as they are quite fanatical about thier pirating skills and may put you through some form of test before they accept you.
Best of luck man

I am interested in PVP and Pirating, at least something that allows piracy if not part of the curriculum.
2 - Where do you want to live? High sec? Low sec? 0.0?
Not high sec.
3 - Where do you live? Australia? Briton? America? Germany? Russia?
GMT -05:00, Eastern US
4 - How big a corp do you want? Small? Medium? Large? Massively Huge?
Not so much an issue for me, I like small personal groups and they have a higher chance of keeping players I think. Large numbers has an advantage but I don't think you develop the relationships that keep a pilot in a corporation.
5 - How many sp do you have?
Twenty million and counting.
6 - What do you pride yourself on flying? Command ship? Capital ship? Exhumer? Hac?
I can fly most Gallente ship with skills at level 4. I am shy of command ships. I like and I suppose 'pride' myself on all drone boats. If I had to pick one ship to boast about, it's the recons. I am saving for and hoping to soon get a Carrier, which I could already fly, but not well.
7 - How long have you been playing?
Since 13.02.2006
8 - What is your security rating?
-6.3 and falling
9 - Are there any corps where you have burned your bridges?
Possibly with the The Core Collective alliance.
Ah ha! You are an easy one. Contact Yohnson of 'The Nine Gates' They are a pvp corp that departed from Executive Outcomes a while ago and have been both pirating and helping RISE in the bob war so you really get the best of low sec and 0.0 at your leisure.
Tell em Dashhammer sent ya and they'll probably get a good chuckle out of it.

Hey there, as MC pushes east, things in south querius are quieting down and it's a good time to slip into a small mining corp in 0.0 "Imperium Heavy Industries" specializes in mining and production. They have station access in that area and they know the lay of the land. Contact Semso.
Alternatively-
'Crimson Star Empire' is a mining/pvp corp in 'Frege Alliance' in a very quiet area of 0.0 where the mining is good. It's drone space but the area hasn't been all that loud in a long time. Good contact for them is Jaksynn

Once again I'm going to list my own corp in with your options. I'll give ya three though just to make it fair.
'O Rly Corp' Part of YTMND alliance lives in an isolated section of low sec and does nothing but gank pirates, run missions and talk smack all day long. (That one is mine, I guess I would be the contact. lol)
Next up is...
'Nexus Academy' This is a noobie training corp for the Nex Eternus alliance. The live primarilly in the metroplis region and they train up aspiring Nex Eternus members. They are rather small and even their alliance isn't exactly on the medium side HOWEVER this often means that the oppertunities for pvp are a little bit better than the mainstream mission running corps. Contact = Arcan Sebi They are primarily US players.
I would be remiss if I did not mention...
'Malus Imperium' Contact for it is 'Ex Dran' they are a very small, tight knit corp living in empire that has been growing nearly as fast as my corp as of late. They don't specialize in any one thing but they are stable and with good leadership. These guys have some fantastic long term aspirations and the organization to achieve it. If you are looking for a corp with a bright future, this is them.

While we are on the subject I want to announce to everyone that there has been a great deal of external pressure on me and my alliance recently. Corperations and Alliances have contacted me and demanded that I begin listing them to recruits. After refusing to list organizations I had no knowledge of, I was often offered a bribe or threatened.
I'd like to make sure that everyone here who is not looking for a corp knows...

First is...
'Rage of Angels' is a corp in the Morsus Mihi alliance and they have a strong netherlands and german contingent that is right in line with your desire for pvp and SP.
'Thundercats' of RAZOR Alliance is very similiar to this though with thier recent choice of locations they may not have the outright war that moris mihi has. Also they kinda have a stupid name. But apparantly 80% of thier corperation is north EU so you might want to hear what they have to say anyway. :)
'Eve Defense force' is a smaller corporation in 0.0 and it is run by ex-ASCN John McCreedy. Apparently staffed with a large netherland contingent. Although not as large or popular as the first two, he does seem to have organized his members very well. Just don't tell him I sent you because he doesn't like me much. :)

7 - How long have you been playing? 2.5 years roughly
8 - What is your security rating? Char 1: 5.0 (my missionrunner/moneybringer) Char 2: 1.9 (not due to Piracy, just never went Ratting with it)
9 - Are there any corps where you have burned your bridges? No, I think not.
Thank you in advance.
'Rising Knights' of Smash alliance is a fun corp that was last sighted in the Geminate region. Geminate has always been a particularly unstable region of space and they have done a great job of standing their ground against all comers. Although they have had many fleet battles in the past, they do not rely upon them, often resorting to small roving gangs to destabilize thier opponants. I highly recomend them due to thier international nature however.
'Blue Star Brotherhood' is a part of 'Interstellar Starbase Syndicate' and if you are looking for a wide international corp and/or alliance. You can't get better than this. Not nearly as much pvp but definately a wide range of people.

1 - What do you want to do? PVP? Pirate? Mine? Trade? PvP
2 - Where do you want to live? High sec? Low sec? 0.0? 0.0
3 - Where do you live? Australia? Briton? America? Germany? Russia? United Kingdom
4 - How big a corp do you want? Small? Medium? Large? Massively Huge? Large or Huge
5 - How many sp do you have? Stopped counting after 50mill
6 - What do you pride yourself on flying? Command ship? Capital ship? Exhumer? Hac? BS
7 - How long have you been playing? Since it started.
8 - What is your security rating? 4 or 5 I think
9 - Are there any corps where you have burned your bridges? I guess anything allied to RAGOON, although I had a great time with the old RUS guys in the "Real CA"
You are actually quite difficult becuase you are at EndGame skillpoints. I would recommend immediately seeking entry to BOB alliance (due to the fact that you do not want to join the RAGOON allies). Getting entry into BOB is actually very difficult. You need to join a corp that has a recruitment track for them and slowly build reputation for yourself. Notable corperations for this are...
Sybrite (pirate corp to get into Destructive Influence) Executive Outcomes Alliance (To get into Black Nova Corp) Fix Alliance (to get into Evolution)
Once you are in these corps, just work close with BOB and get to know their directors. You are past the 50m sp mark. You really should be focussing on a mothership and/or titan

3 - Where do you live? Australia? Briton? America? Germany? Russia? > US (Central TZ)

5 - How many sp do you have? > 6 mil
6 - What do you pride yourself on flying? Command ship? Capital ship? Exhumer? Hac? > I run missions in Caldari ships up to BS's and I am working on T2 Frigs/Cov ops and eventually Recon Ships
7 - How long have you been playing? > I played for several months then quit and have recently gotten back in
8 - What is your security rating? > 1.3
9 - Are there any corps where you have burned your bridges? > No but I prefer to not be associated with RA or Goonswarm

4 - How big a corp do you want? Small? Medium? Large? Massively Huge? Medium/Large (something always going on, ratting/missioning bores me)
5 - How many sp do you have? Char has 4m, but most of those where flying Exhumers, got a little bored of mining to so moving on. Gallente Frig V is prob my most PvP skill working on that though, looking for a corp a little down the line.
6 - What do you pride yourself on flying? Command ship? Capital ship? Exhumer? Hac? Focusing for a Vexor most likely.
7 - How long have you been playing? A few months
8 - What is your security rating? 0.0, don't care about it at all.
9 - Are there any corps where you have burned your bridges? Nope.
'Sybrite'
'Ore Mongers' of 'Roadkill Alliance' aren't technically a pirating corp. They are a UK corp that does a great deal of pirating however. They are very organized and recently put out an interesting thread. Here There contact is of course- Tobias Sjodin
Of course I have to recomend 'Sybrite' corporation as well. They pretty much own Khanid low sec.

Originally by: Franklloydwright this could be fun, wanna see what u come up with
1 - What do you want to do? PVP? Pirate? Mine? Trade?
PVP 90% but i do freight and mine where needed with a hulk etc..
2 - Where do you want to live? High sec? Low sec? 0.0? 0.0 or highsec not fussed. would like access to 0.0 if required
3 - Where do you live? Australia? Briton? America? Germany? Russia? Australia
4 - How big a corp do you want? Small? Medium? Large? Massively Huge? small/medium corporation or large alliance, i like to pew pew. but i like a tight bunch of players don't just wanna have 50 corp members who i don't get to know.
5 - How many sp do you have? 28 million - PVP focused except about 1.2 million in mining/industry
6 - What do you pride yourself on flying? Command ship? Capital ship? Exhumer? Hac? T2 Fitted Bs's Minmatar/Gallentee, HAC, Capitals
7 - How long have you been playing? personally a year and a 1/2
8 - What is your security rating? -4.3 ive been bad in the past but this can change easily.
9 - Are there any corps where you have burned your bridges? not that i know of
Though I hate to recomend them, I think you'd be quite happy with...
'Cold Fury' of Southern Cross Alliance. They are an aussie alliance. They are broken into small corps and they do a great deal of stuff together in 0.0 Contact is: Rooman.
'Eve Defense force' is a smaller corporation in 0.0 and it is run by ex-ASCN John McCreedy. Apparently staffed with a large netherland contingent. Although not as large or popular as the first two, he does seem to have organized his members very well. 'These guys are not purely Aussie and they are not purely 0.0' but they are a lot more rounded than SCA would be.
I recomend talking to both of them before deciding.

Pvp. and ratting to fund it.

low-sec and 0.0 preffered
3 - Where do you live? Australia? Briton? America? Germany? Russia?
Denmark (Europe)
4 - How big a corp do you want? Small? Medium? Large? Massively Huge?
Medium, Large or massively huge.
5 - How many sp do you have?
8 and 16 on my other char.
6 - What do you pride yourself on flying? Command ship? Capital ship? Exhumer? Hac?
Hacs and bc`s. soon recon ships
7 - How long have you been playing?
Since February
8 - What is your security rating?
goes up and down. 1.3 right now I believe.
9 - Are there any corps where you have burned your bridges?
nope.
And I dont mind piracy
thx man.
Alright man, taking your SP into consideration I will recomend 'Finfleet' due to thier large danish population however finfleet might be a bit more difficult to join now because they have become a recent addition to 'Band Of Brothers' alliance and BOB has all kinds of crazy requirements for new players. But I highly recomend them for you if you can wrangle it.
The next is 'Muffin Factory' which is lead by 'Cranberry Muffinman' he leads a pirate group he calls 'The muffinmen' and they are some hardcore empire pirates though they mostly live in low sec and 0.0, these guys are elite pirates with an SP range of 40m+ but they have recently begun looking for pirates in every timezone as they are in the US timezone.
So there you are man. Two options, one piracy, one mainstream pvp. You must now choose to embrace good... or evil.

Cheers,
Thera
Being that Venal region is currently EXPLODING INTO AN ABYSS OF CHAOS, I'll do the best I can.
'4S Corporation' is an absolutely ancient corperation which is now a part of Mosus Mihi, just south of Venal. It would probably be accessable from thier stations with only a couple hops away. 4s Corporation is a serious pvp corp but thier recruitment requirements are a bit stringant. In order to get accepted you'll probably need to speak to their CEO: Hermi Biv or dvuja. Play up the fact that you are from the UK and it will endear you to them.
M.Pire and Razor are a little too unstable right now for me to recommend so....
I'm going to recommend 'UK corp' in Fatal Alliance. They are a bit north of Venal but I think you'll be pleased by it's size, love of pvp and UK unity.

PVP in 0.0 (ratting for income)

0.0
3 - Where do you live? Australia? Briton? America? Germany? Russia?
US - West Coast
4 - How big a corp do you want? Small? Medium? Large? Massively Huge?
Medium and up
5 - How many sp do you have?
17M on this account all combat focused ( I have other accounts that specialize in other tasks, capital ships, industry, etc.)
6 - What do you pride yourself on flying? Command ship? Capital ship? Exhumer? Hac?
Gallente BS's and Minmatar zoomies
7 - How long have you been playing?
13 months
8 - What is your security rating?
-1.2
9 - Are there any corps where you have burned your bridges?
As long as shooting at them doesn't burn a bridge then no.
'The Nine Gates' of R I S E alliance would by great for ya man. Plenty of pvp for ya and nearly everyone is in your timezone.
On the flip side of the war...
'Darkstar 1' & 'Goonfleet' are part of the 'Goonswarm' alliance. Now this might be more pvp than you bargained for but you are guaranteed almost constant warfare with them.
Both in the US timezone.

I saw that recommendation to join rad**** to that guy who likes flying pilgrims (before the nerf :) and I remembered wanting to join them alot because im specced in amarr recons and when I saw their corp, they fit me to a T, a recon oriented corp. However, in my brief encounter with them I never saw them in an all out recon gang. Or much of one.
I used to be in GONAD, so that's how I managed to be around some of these and others, and you're right, alot of corps such as this don't need to advertise now, and the way to find them is just by random checking info of the friendly alliances to your own alliance that you might be in, if you are looking for another corp. I just randomly clicked on one of their guys once.
as for the recon gang bit, 5 of each race ship, 3 long range webs, 3 long range warp disruptor, 3 damps, 3 tracking disruptors on each of the relevant ships. and the neuts of the curses. What could take on that in a gang? would have to be highly coordinated with the EW< but thats the stuff I envisioned when I read about Rad****.
that being said a little about me, after leaving GONAD I ended up joining this brand new corp(to try something new) which started as an empire war dec corp and turned into a merc corp. Not what I would have joined, but you meet good people and so thats what its about for me. But curious to see where you would recommend me I will take your quiz! :)
1 - What do you want to do? PVP? Pirate? Mine? Trade? excel at PVP (ratting for income)/missions with alt
2 - Where do you want to live? High sec? Low sec? 0.0? it doesn't matter as long as I am pvping with good dedicated teamworking players who look out for one another. But I don't think living in high sec is for me.
3 - Where do you live? Australia? Briton? America? Germany? caribbean island, english speaking, U.S east time zone, like I am on par with the time in Miami.
4 - How big a corp do you want? Small? Medium? Large? Massively Huge?
Medium or slightly bigger. Not Small. Enough for people to be on to form gangs.
5 - How many sp do you have?
Just shy of 10 million
6 - What do you pride yourself on flying? Command ship? Capital ship? Exhumer? Hac?
Most combat SP is in Pilgrim/Curse, meaning drones/electronic warfare is high. priority going for a carrier. But before going for those recons, I am gallente BS pilot.
7 - How long have you been playing?
8 months or so straight. everyday without a break, except vacation overseas.
8 - What is your security rating?
Used to be high but still above 0.0
9 - Are there any corps where you have burned your bridges?
if you mean, been in before and not want to have them on the recommend list then: tardz is all.
Man this one is rough. Gang warfare in high sec. lol. I'm gonna give you some good stabile corps with a high chance of forming gangs, as for timezones it could get a little bit shaky.
'Multiversal' is a pirate corp that conducts gang warfare in high sec through the use of wardeclarations. It's seedy... it's pirating but it's what ya asked for. And it's stable. =P
